The Cleethorpes Armed Forces Weekend returns on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 June 2026 as one of the region’s largest free summer events, celebrating our armed forces, veterans, reservists, cadets and their families — with a programme designed to attract large numbers of visitors to the resort.
Key highlights planned include:
🎖 Military Parades & Commemorations
Expect the traditional parade showcasing serving personnel, veterans and cadets to honour our armed forces community.
🚁 Air and Land Displays
Flying displays and military capability demonstrations will continue to feature, celebrating skill and precision (details to be confirmed nearer the event).
🎡 Family Entertainment & Attractions
Big wheel rides and other attractions are expected to be part of the programme, providing fun for all ages.
🏕 Expanded Event Footprint
With Pier Gardens closed for regeneration works in 2026, traditional event spaces will be relocated to include the Boating Lake area, Meridian Showground and other nearby parts of the resort to ensure plenty of space for displays and visitor movement.
🎪 Trade & Market Opportunities
Markets and trade stalls will operate across the resort area over the weekend, drawing strong visitor footfall — especially around key attractions like the Boating Lake and Meridian Showground.
